first circle and dance night...
So epic!! Wednesday night is fire circle and anyone can sign up to share a song, poem, joke, story in the round. We share laughter and wonder and quiet. The flames are so magical and set the stage for some wonderful storytelling. We ended our circle with a time honored tradition of the 4 elements - juggling earth, wind, water and fire. Our Lead Advocate, Osyande, and his father led the 4 Elements with their sacred drumming. And all the children went quietly to tooth brushing and slumber!

Your Kids!

What a great Wednesday! We had biscuits and gravy for breakfast, hot dogs for lunch and burritos for dinner. This morning in breakfast circle we learned to thank people in 5 different languages. We also heard some great dreams. Meals are eaten family style, with counselors and teen staff serving the kids and each other. We often have theme tables, such as the synonym table, the dino table, the no hands table. Kids are able to host a table if they partner with an adult. Meals are an amazing community building time at Camp Winnarainbow. Not to mention the killer salad bar with veggies from Irene's garden.
